New closed his car forcibly after parking in their garage. He took several deep breaths before heading inside their house but stopped on his tracks when another car recklessly parked by the driveway.
He muttered a curse when he saw Tay coming out of the car.
"Open this gate, New. We need to talk," Tay said in a firm voice, his hands gripping the railings of the gate.
"Go home, Tay. Let's talk about this tomorrow. Let's get some rest," he quickly dismissed Tay and started walking towards the front door.
"Okay, fine. I guess your neighbors won't bother if I start shouting here."
Tay smirked at him and walked away from the gate.
He almost lost his shit when Tay started screaming at the top of his lungs.
"HEYY EVERYONE! NEW'S NOT TALKING TO ME! COME ON NEW! TALK TO MEE!!"
"What the hell are you doing, Tay??!" he exclaimed and tried to shush him down.
He immediately opened the gate and grabbed Tay by the shoulder.
"So are you talking to me now?"
"Tay, just go home okay? Let's talk about this tomorrow."
"HEY EVERY-"
"Okay fine! Let's fucking talk!" New exclaimed and pushed Tay on the shoulder as Tay was starting to get into his nerves by acting like a spoiled brat. "What the hell do you want??"
"Now you talk. What the hell is wrong with you, New? Why are you acting up like a spoiled princess??"
He scoffed as he heard Tay's words, quite baffled and at the same time amused.
"Wow. So I'm the one acting like a spoiled princess now?" he retorted and crossed his arms, his voice laced with sarcasm.
"Then talk to me! Tell me what the hell is wrong with you. You've been acting up by not talking to me. You're even avoiding me! Are you still sulking over my absence on your birthday??"
"You know what Tay. We're just talking in circles about this matter. Okay, I got mad at you for totally ditching me on my birthday because of a woman but I told you I already got over it! But you just have to hit another sore spot by setting me up with some random woman. I already told you even before that I don't like it when you do that!"
"What's so wrong with setting you up with a woman, New??"
New grabbed his hair as he turned his back to Tay. He was frustrated, infuriated not at Tay but at himself for being caught in such a mess. He'd been wanting to tell Tay the reason he hated to be hooked up with some random girls but he was afraid that it would be the last chance of Tay considering him as a friend.
"You really wanna know??! Okay fine! I'm gay! Okay! That's why I hate being hooked up with girls because I'm not into them! I've been keeping this for years as I was afraid you'd avoid me but you're definitely pulling on my last straw. Shit Tay, you're my best friend but I love you more than that! I fucking love you!" he had finally exploded and exposed himself. He was restraining himself but he couldn't hold it in any longer.
He grunted and ran a frustrated hand through his hair as he realized that he just literally confessed to Tay.
"Urgh! Shit. I'm not supposed to say that! Fine, you can hate me all you want. I can totally understand. Whatever you're feeling right now i-"
His words were left midair as Tay grabbed the back of his neck and he felt something soft crashing against his lips.
He stopped breathing the moment he realized that Tay was kissing him. He tried stopping him but a moan escaped from his lips instead of a protest.
They were both panting when Tay let him go.
They just stood there, staring at each other. The both of them waiting for each other to say a word. He blinked several times to make sure if it was really Tay who was standing in front of him.
It was then that Tay decided to break the silence.
"And why do you think I've been jumping from one woman to another, New? It's because you're confusing me. You've been confusing me for years already! I've been trying to get rid of this feeling by sleeping with girls because I thought I was just confused. But the more I tried to hide it the more it grows. I sleep around thinking that if I do such thing, I would be able to get you out of my head, but I failed. I tried hooking you up with girls to see if you're straight and god knows how much it makes me happy whenever you reject them for I was wishing you were gay so you could see me the way I see you. And boy, my wish did come true."
New stood there frozen as he tried to process Tay's every word.
"Wait. What?" he finally found his voice.
But instead of answering him, Tay just cupped his cheeks and crashed his lips against his, gently kissing him as if he was a porcelain he was afraid to break.
"Wh-why are you kissing me?" he asked the moment Tay let him go. He knew his question sounded stupid but he still couldn't think straight of whatever was happening at the moment.
"You're mine, now, okay. Don't ever take it back," Tay announced before tousling his hair and placing another soft kiss on his lips.
"Holy shit."
It was all New could mutter after fully realizing what just happened.
"Yes, holy shit it is, babe."
He stared wide eyed at Tay who grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers.
He was about to say something but he was interrupted by someone else's voice.
"Son, you might wanna bring your boyfriend inside. You can make out in your room. Everyone can see you there," New's mother and father were standing by the front door and he was sure they just witnessed everything.
"Moooom!" he exclaimed and dragged Tay inside whilst trying to hide the redness of his face and neck.
Fin.
