Kalyani Chopra has been living in Pennsylvania for years. She thought she knew every nook and cranny of the state, but thanks to an abrupt house opportunity, she learns that she's moving to Fir Hills, a town she's never even heard of. The neighborhood reeks of fear. Everyone's on edge- they take simple things too seriously but normalize oddities and freak occurrences. When Kalyani finds a strange book at the library, she uncovers a dark, tragic tale, one that casts a shadow she'd never asked for. The more she learns about the town and its history, the more distant her answers get, and it becomes unclear whether she can ever find out the truth of what happened all those years ago. Would she be willing to test everything? Would she help everyone by risking herself to the whispers? Turns out this town was not what she had thought at all.
