Kion, leader of the Lion Guard, was always hopeful that the war he grew up in would end. His dreams came true, but not without a price. He got bit by a venomous snake named Ushari during the final battle. The venom would cause him to turn evil if left untreated, just like his great uncle Scar. He would have to journey to the Tree of Life to heal it, but also for another reason. He had just found out he was betrothed to a lioness from that faraway land that he had never met. Wallowing in sorrow and self-pity, Kion wonders what the future will hold for him in this lioness. Will it be sorrowful? Filled with hate? Those were some of the many things he wondered fearfully.
