The war has ended and the Golden Trio has come back to Hogwarts to complete there 7th year, since they missed it while finding Horcruxes in their battle against the Dark Lord. It's been one year since Hermione had lost Ron. She's growing tired of friends and family treating her as if she could break at any second. All she wants to do is be there for her daughter, Rose. As life would have it, she gains a new friend, and maybe even a second chance at love. Draco has been a single parent for a while. He wants to be the best dad that he can be to Scorpius. "Why?" Did he really just ask her why? He should be the one to know why, Hermione had told him the reason why they would never be together. All Hermione wanted to do was to return to Hogwarts and finish her education with a bang as Head Girl. After that, she had her whole life sorted out. She would work things out with Ron, work at the ministry, and become Minister for Magic one day. The universe, as usual, had other plans. Draco certainly wasn't expecting McGonagall to pick him as Head Boy but Harry Potter declined and as per usual, he was the second choice. Unsure what the people back in school had in store for then after all the Death Eater business they were involved in, he returns to Hogwarts with his friends to finish their education anyway.
