Locked inside her room, she watches the world go by... Who is to take her away from this awful fate, if Terrance isn't? Who will be her fairytale prince, to rescue her and uplift her spirits? How will her heart ever heal? And what is happening in the dark, in shadows, in secret, as the lovers' quarrel rises high?

[Part Two of the Travelling with a Wolf series] They are on the road again; Marc, June, Maya and—of course—Terrance Longeway. In search of new adventures, they venture to the city of Oakes, formerly known for their vicious prosecution of werewolves and other demons from Hell. At the time of the festival, priests are ready to burn wolves, but other forces are at play—a dangerous game full of lies. Who is to trust, and what is Terrance's endgame for leading them here? Will they get out unscorched?

This, for now untitled, story was my attempt for NaNoWriMo 2011. Eventhough I didn't manage to reach the 50,000 words I will continue on with the story and upload it here as regularly as possible. Thanks for reading, comments and constructive feedback always welcome. Enjoy~

[Part One of the Travelling with a Wolf series] Fairytales come in all kinds of shapes, sizes and colours. For June, it was the tall, handsome prince with whom she was betrothed. The wedding arranged, everything was set. With a bodyguard to safeguard her journey to Broadlakes, nothing could go wrong. But no one expected him: a carefree jack-in-the-box that suddenly pops up. Terrance Longeway, with his wolf’s grin, who is a walking, talking adventurer. His stories keep June amused on the dull travel through the woods of Wealthorn, but she doesn’t notice his secrets until it is too late, and only one question becomes important: will June ever be able to return to her fairytale when she is knee-deep in adventure?
