La famille Watson, famille d'accueil depuis cinq ans, se voit confier un garçon d'une quinzaine d'années au comportement violent et étrange. Sherlock. Très vite, John se lie d'amitié avec se drôle de garçon, qui fini par lui confier des bribes de son passé en Afghanistan. Il raconte le sang, les villages détruits, les balles, les cris qui ne s'arrêtent pas et les cauchemars. Il lui montre les cicatrices, lui confie celles de son âme. Parce que Sherlock est un enfant soldat qui se bat depuis ses 9 ans. Et John tombe désespérément amoureux de lui.

Tout est dans le titre non ? Les personnages sont inspirés de la série Sherlock (regardez la !) de Mark Gatiss et Steven Moffat eux-mêmes inspirés des romans de Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
