His mission as the infamous Night Fury is simply to rid the world of the people who are trying to destroy his kind. Unfortunately, the Deadly Nadder, the beloved hero, keeps getting in his way. Things would be so much simpler if she would just mind her own business. He was just trying to help. Astrid Hofferson wants the same thing as the Night Fury. She's trying to build a better image for people like her, but the Night Fury's violent methods are really making it difficult. She honestly couldn't blame him; sometimes she just wanted to punch the authorities in the face, but that would hardly help their already precarious situation. Everyone has their own story. Everyone's a hero in their own mind.

But while Stoick and Valka are trying to live while mourning for their lost son, Hiccup is living freely on a Santuarial island created by an Alpha dragon with his best friend, a dragon, the one who stole him, Toothless. Toothless has always told Hiccup that vikings are cruel, horrible people that kill dragons for the fun of it, and that he should stay as far away from them. But when Hiccup gets caught on a hostile, viking-dwelling island, he doesn't know what to do. The Chief's wife thinks it's unfair to torture a child like this, but when Stoick lays eyes on this boy, he has other plans. Will he and his dragon escape in time? Replaced as Heir and with only the beautiful Shield Maiden Astrid as his friend, fate gives Hiccup one more chance to end the war and become the hero he was meant to be. Hiccstrid. Instead of killing the dragon in the arena, Hiccup decides to fly away from Berk on Toothless.He finds a small island,and lives there,bartering with the people who live on a nearby island. Five years later,Stoick finds his son again. Chaos, of course, ensues.

"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the III, we are gathered here today because you had befriended a dragon and by Berkian law that clearly states that this is illegal and can be sentenced to death, imprisonment or banishment. Since we cannot control the dragon since it is a night fury one of the most lethal dragons, I as the chief of Berk hereby banish you to 5 years of banishment. You will not be given permission to speak. You will go back to the house. Pack your things. Collect your dragon and leave." Stoick said with a blank expression.

Five years ago Hiccup was declared dead after he went missing. However, one day Astrid and the Gang were on their entrance test (a test a test when all the 17 year olds have to survive a whole year on an island) they saw something on the beach and found out that it was an unconscious Night Fury lying next to a semi-conscious boy .
