Freydis was an Experiment made by her 'Parents' who found the work of a scientist that was working on a way to make people immune to the Raidiotaion down on earth. she was kept a secret from everyone. The experiment caused her blood to turn black as a Side effect. Her parents try to take it a step further and forced her to learn many things from music and art to sign language as well as Medicine. when she is Six her parents are floated for having more than one child and she was put in the skybox to wait until she turned 18 and they look over her file and decide if she is worth keeping alive.
