A not-so-short ficlet inspired from the Best of Wives and Best of Women scene from the musical, altered drastically. I'm not gonna lie, I almost started bawling writing this, countless times. (Yup, another historical fanfiction, this one taking a little more from Ron Chernow's biography.)
