No one expected that it would happen until it did. Earth was dying. We, the few who survived the disease, were all contained in cells with artificial light and oxygen and food in the form of pills. So when help came in the form of C'Riel, an alien race that lived in a planet called Xe'Krein, many people found hope. But I was wary. Why would the C'Riel help us? How did we benefit them? What I didn't expect to happen was meeting him. The fire-eyed alien. My alien. And then I found out, that sometimes answers to the questions we want to know are sick and leave you wondering if everything was a lie.

When I looked into his eyes, he looked anything but human, and the scariest part was I couldn't find it in me to care. "W-Who are you?" I asked, tilting my head up. He looked at me through narrowed eyes, his pink lips parted as his rough voice sent chills up my spine, "That's not the question you should be asking." "Then what is?" There was a long unsettling silence that had dawned over the two of us. "Not who but what...what am I?" ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. 2014.

The world took a turn for the better. There were less problems, less diseases, and less to worry about. Or that's what He told her. Experiment Arcelia 14786 was His favorite. She was so vital to the Lab she inhabited that they painted her door blue instead of the sterile white that plastered everything else. She knew all the passcodes and looked down submissively. She was the perfect experiment because of Him. But when He brings in a new experiment from the Outside called Experiment Varian, she finds herself experiencing change whether she likes it or not. And it's all because of Experiment Varian, the only other one to accept the Red Virus Trial besides Arcelia herself. Unlike the passive Arcelia, Varian isn't going to let the Lab take him down.
