***MAJOR WICKED KING SPOILERS (set two months after end of book)*** Back in the normal world, Jude is desperate to return to Faerie. So when the High King Cardan turns up unexpectedly on her doorstep, she sees a chance to use him to find a way home. But Jude and Cardan have been playing each other for a long time, and neither can hold up their charades for ever. The night will turn out very differently to what both had planned.

"I've been warned in my ten years in Faerie to never make bargains with the Folk, but I am the one who can lie. The Folk should be warned to never make bargains with me." Takes place right after The Wicked King! Exiled to the mortal world, Jude begins to lose hope of returning to Elfhame. And revenge is not the only thing she seeks, she will stop at nothing to get back what she has earned. Oak begs to go to the amusement park, and while Cardan is scared as heck, Jude agrees happily.

Cardan's bed is big enough for them to not even have to touch as they sleep, and yet when they wake up it's always in a tangled mess of limbs.

These are not necessarily my exact predictions of where Queen of Nothing will pick up when it comes out next year, but there are elements to this story that I think could play a huge role in the third book in the series.
