Extract 2 ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ "I think you should pay attention to your little angel more." Izuku stopped in his tracks, his body turning to Katsuki. Everything happened in slow motion after that. Izuku's horrified expression, hand reaching for him as the pieces of the building started falling at him. Katsuki smiled, he wanted to give Izuku something before this, and he hoped the warm smile could be enough. . . . "This is the end." Extract 3 ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ "Not gonna look at me?" Fuck, stop. He can't open his eyes. If he did, and Izuku won't be there, it would be the last thing he needed to reach his breaking point. "Open your eyes." No, he doesn't want to. "Please, for me?" Katsuki plucks the glass from the stranger's hand and drinks it down, wrinkling his nose at the harsh burn. "Fuckin' whiskey? You didn't even get the good shit." He says with a snort, tossing the glass somewhere on the other end of the sofa. The man cocks his head to the side, either incredibly amused or bordering disinterested. "While Balvenie is quite an aquired taste, I can assure you it is, to borrow from you, the good shit." The man says, leaning back into the sofa while an arm snakes around Katsuki's slim figure to grip his thigh with callous hands. "Yeah? It tastes like spicy dishwater." "It's 50 year old single malt scotch whiskey. Someone with a simple pallette wouldn't appreciate it." "Did you just call me uncultured?" "I'm saying that you don't look like you're old enough to even know what good whiskey is." Or, Katsuki's about to give Sandra Bullock a run for her money.

"Happy birthday, sweetheart." Nineteen. Katsuki counts nineteen candles. His body no longer does his bidding, heavy with fatigue and the pain in his joints. His eyes flicker from the cake---chocolate, like always---to look Brother in the eyes but even his presence there feels lukewarm. Brother looks like he's in pain, but it's a bit hard to tell in the pale glow of the moonlight. "D-Do you think...that a rose bush is gonna grow out of me?" He croaks, voice rough and gravelly. Brother doesn't seem to understand so he laughs, though it doesn't sound very happy to Katsuki's ears. "Why would a rose bush grow out of you, little brother?" Katsuki's throat hurts so bad, it feels like he's swallowed sandpaper. It's dry and scratchy and almost makes it hard to breathe. It takes him a moment before he's able to find his voice again.
