But one day, Clary gets a phone call from her mother, telling her the Valentine has finally come for her, and that she's not safe. So Clary runs. But she happens to run so far that she meets the arrogant and cocky, Jace Wayland. Jace takes Clary in, and helps her try to figure out what happened to her mother. In Clary's journey to find her mother, she finds friendship, hope, betrayal, love and heartbreak.
