Harry almost always comes off as confident in himself, no matter what it concerns. Even when it comes to his stepbrother's best friend, Louis, who Harry is convinced has a crush on him as well. But no matter how blatantly obviously Harry flirts with Louis, the boy only seems to laugh at him or roll his eyes, returning the banter with sassy comments and snarky remarks. That is until they kiss one night at a party, and then the unlimited fun begins. Or at least that's what Harry confidently thought at the time.

College AU where Harry studies law and psychology. Louis is a philophobic frat boy who's majoring in acting, plays footie and needs tutoring in psychology. Of course they hate each other but that doesn't stop them from having a ridiculous amount of sexual tension. or Louis is a frat boy with a drinking problem who doesn't know what he wants to do with his life, and Harry is a psychology student who always takes care of him and might just be exactly what Louis doesn't want, but really needs.

They had to pull back for air. Louis surveyed the guy's face, in awe of his blown pupils and sharp jawline, the way their shared spit glistened on his lips. "Hi," he breathed. He blinked, and came back to himself a little bit, blushing at his own boldness. "Sorry. Is this okay?" The stranger removed his right hand from the curve of Louis' waist in order to cup his jaw, tilting it up to the angle he desired. He pressed their lips together, murmuring, "Definitely." And then he kissed harder. (When Louis sees his ex-boyfriend kissing a random girl at a party, he acts out of blind jealousy. He kisses the first guy he can find. It turns into a thing.) "I've let you use me from the day that we first met, but I'm not done yet falling for your fools gold." - Louis to Harry. Louis just can't help it, it feels real. But, he knows it isn't.

"Do you want a kiss?" Harry asks. Louis looks at him in clear disgust and annoyance. "Excuse me?" He inquires. Harry smiles and pulls out a bag of chocolate kisses. "They're your favourite aren't they?"

Louis moves into a flat while he’s at university, his next-door neighbour, Harry, who he’s never seen is rather loud at night. Louis confronts him about said noise and the two start to chat through the rather thin wall between their bedrooms. Will they ever meet, and if they do… what could ensue for the both of them?
