Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, has had memory loss since he was younger, making him forget almost everything about his childhood and the people he knew. When something weird starts to happen to him, the memories of his childhood start to come back. Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira, has almost always picked on Giyu, for the way he acts and how he's always alone. When one morning, the Hashiras are called to a meeting by their master, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. When Shinobu starts to notice Giyu's off mood, she takes him to her office for a quick checkup, when Giyu's first memory slightly comes back. Shinobu, Giyu, and many others start to get closer along their journey of getting Giyu's memories back. One day, multiple memories come back to Giyu, bringing up people Shinobu has never heard of, making her go to Saionji Urokodaki, the former Water Hashira and Giyu's master, for some answers. Bringing Tanjiro's squad with her on her journey to find Urokodaki, she finds some stuff out about the kids as well. Meanwhile Giyu finds some unexpected guests in his home, making him and Kanroji Mitsuri, the Love Hashira go out for food, getting the two closer and revealing secrets the girl kept hidden. Memories of everyone's past comes to play, as answers of Giyu's past answers plenty of memories, for everyone around the Butterfly Mansion. As they are almost done getting all of Giyu's memories back, tragedy strikes.
