Bai Feng Jiu becomes the Queen of the Fox Tribe, her aunt becomes the Empress of the Heavenly Realm alongside her uncle-in-law Ye Hua and their son, the Crown Prince Ah Li. When Feng Jiu comes to visit the Heavenly Palace to meet with her aunt, she meets the mysterious white haired man known as Lord Dong Hua Dijun. Drawn to Dijun in so many ways, Feng Jiu tries her best to ignore her feelings, until she hears her maids talking about him and she loses her patience, trying to draw his attention, to make him fall in love with her. After a while of living in the Heavenly Realm, Feng Jiu discovers that many generations ago, before she and her aunt were born, Dijun had taken his name off the Rock of Three Incarnations, in which he would not be able to be with anyone. Desperate to change that, Feng Jiu makes a deal with the Gods, that as long as Dijun can have a happy ending, she would no longer be apart of his life and no longer appear in his life. But what if Dijun was already in love with her long before she made the deal?

Feng Jiu shows great mercy, compassion, and humility to another while assisting Dong Hua in his mortal trial. This leads to an unexpected alliance and friendship that could help Feng Jiu save the ones she loves. I personally find Dong Hua in TMOPB to be nearly irredeemable, but I am going to take whatever qualities he does have: self-sacrifice, curiosity, intellect, mischievousness, and obvious love of our favorite fox and give him back some of that fighting spirit and actual heart he seems to have abandoned in his retirement. I'd like to abandon the TMOPB writers at the Gates of Heaven with a quick goodbye myself for all that they put Dong Hua and Feng Jiu through. This is a variation of the Pillow Book by Tang Qi Gong Zi so I do now own any of the characters. This is mainly a short, fluff story dealing with "What if Donghua Dijun had gotten to know Bai Feng Jiu when she was still a fairly maid in Tai Chen Palace. Would their path towards love be any easier?" I will be departing from Canon in many instances so this is not a retelling of the events in the book. For the most part, the background information on the main characters will be the same so I will not deal deeply with them as I assume most of the readers would have seen the Eternal Love of Dreams drama series from whence the inspiration for this story comes. I hope you enjoy this story as much I am anticipating enjoying the writing of it. For those who adored the love story between Donghua and Fengjiu and still could not get enough, this is for you.
