*****WATTYS 2015 WINNER!***** WATTPAD STAFF PICK (9/7/15) In the end, the robots win. But you already knew that. "Everyone Died + My iPhone Stopped Working" is a collection of short interviews with some of the survivors. People who have tremendous insight into the rise of Artificially Intelligent machines or, more often, don't. Why did the robots rise up? What did they want? Why couldn't they be stopped? Can they be stopped now? Is humanity doomed? And what the f--k is going on with the squirrels? You will get the answers to all of these questions. Or some of these questions. Or none of these questions. We'll see. I will be updating this once a week until I run out of stuff that I find funny. Then I'm done. {#1 in teenagers} {#2 in fiction} {#2 in popular} "You better not tell anyone about this." "Aw why not? I'm sure your fandom of desperate girls would love to know that their precious prince charming needs a babysitter." I smile innocently back at his death glare. "I'm serious, nerd. I could make your life hell." ------------------------------------------------------------ Marnie Jones is an ordinary 11th grader. Her only intentions are to get good grades and save money for college with her babysitting job. Everything is going to plan. Until she gets a job babysitting the high school bad boy, Zeke Blakely. The two come from complete different social groups, and Marnie automatically hates Zeke and his big ego and cocky attitude. He's a player. He's dangerous. He's reckless. She's safe with an overthinking problem. As the two are seen hanging around school together, attention gets drawn to Marnie. Which she hates. But she also catches the eye of a handsome jock, too. And why, you ask, does a 17 year old boy need a babysitter? You'll have to read to find out. WARNING: contains vulgar language and mature scenes.

Artemis Rhodes had been working a shift at her minimum-wage waitressing job when two unfairly attractive patrons handed her a flyer inscribed with only a phone number. They told her a better job awaited her, and they left a generous tip. A promise. An English degree and school debt equivalent to half a house haunted Artemis more than any real ghost she'd never seen. After all, as an over-qualified waitress with her rented room in the city, alone, watching Netflix, ghosts were rarely a problem, but bills were downright damning. At least, until she dialed the number and spoke to Michelle, an owner of two businesses: ghost-hunting, and The Secret Hotel, an upscale companion service that catered privately to actors, politicians, entrepreneurs, and anyone with money. The two men Artemis served were not only part of the ghost-hunting team, but also companions. The job of Michelle's personal assistant would end the fear of bills, but bring the supernatural into her life like never before, beginning with an illegally kept ghost named Skylar who protected the companions from ill-mannered clientele. As an Empath, every sound and every glimpse of naked flesh, even the sensation of lust in the air, consumes her. But she can also connect with ghosts and become a prime member of the hunting team. She has a chance to conquer her fears of the world, of herself, and to let others conquer her in ways she never knew she wanted-as long as they survive their ghost-hunting missions. (For ages 18+. Contains mature content.) ♦ Completed! ♦ [Copyright © 2015 Sarah Godfrey & Victoria DeRubeis] Check back on our Tumblr for updates on the sequel: http://sarahandvictoria.tumblr.com/ Or just check out our Secret Hotel tag for other art and things: http://sarahandvictoria.tumblr.com/tagged/the+secret+hotel Also, check out the super sweet swag store where you can get original art on fancy things like mugs and bags and shirts: http://www.redbubble.com/people/sandv

[Completed] Elysia's life is turned upside-down when she's abducted by supernatural creatures with demonic eyes and threatening fangs. What's worse is she has no idea what it is they want from her, except that it has something to do with a side of her that she's never known. The chances of Elysia getting out alive are slim, but perhaps with a bit of luck and a lot of bravery she can escape with more than just her life. Excerpt: ''What trick is this?'' The creature asked, but it didn't sound like a vicious question. He sounded... confused. When I didn't answer, he appeared in front of me, snatching my face in his hand once more and growling. ''What is that on your back?'' ''I don't know,'' I blindly answered, but corrected myself quickly when his grip tightened dangerously, ''It's a birth mark, the doctors called it a... a Lichtenberg figure. My mother said I was born with it, I swear it, even though it's usually what happens when you survive being struck-'' ''-by lightning.''
