Hard to, when both your parents were Death Eaters lying cold in the ground, and your godfather-brilliant, reckless Sirius Black-had cared only in brief flashes before getting himself thrown behind bars. That left Remus Lupin, the ever-gentle werewolf, as the only one willing to raise her. And for all his patience, even he couldn't quite tame the storm that was Delphi. Because she was not ordinary. She carried powers spoken of only in myths, and they made the world around her twist and hum in ways that frightened even her at times. Life, as expected, was never simple-especially at Hogwarts. So she surrounded herself with chaos. Befriending the loudest, wildest, and most dangerously fun students helped her feel-ironically-sane. And then came Fred Weasley. Of course, she had to fall for the one boy who matched her madness. She'd never been one for feelings-too delicate, too risky-but anyone could see the sparks when they collided. Aurora liked to think of her life as one that, unlike seemingly everybody else nowadays, she did not want to re-live. Sometimes, when she's lying awake at night, she likes to think that the fates, or God or whoever it was that planned out peoples lives in the Wizarding World, got bored of planning the same, boring monotonous lives, and so decided to spice it up a little. You know, inject a little bit of pain and trauma into her life every now and then to see how she deals with it.
