Deku was wanted by the hero commission after all he was to powerful and they wanted to get him under their control which other people were unaware of, they thought that the hero commission wanted to get the poor boy back on track that's why they did everything in their power to capture him. He eventually got captured and imprisoned became he didn't want to cooperate with the hero commission and eventually the world seemed to forget our green haired hero everyone except the people who he has helped and a certain blonde haired pomeranian who is now the number 1 hero but at what cost? One night deku feel asleep but what he didn't expect was to wake up in his 10 year old body, he didn't want to become a hero anymore, he just wanted to rest and have a break for fuck sake but let's just say that the world has other plans for our forgotten hero.
