Als sie am ersten Tag an ihrer neuen Schule ein Projekt und einen Partner zugeteilt bekommt, verändert sich ihr Leben komplett. Ihr Projektpartner Ben kommt aus der größten Familie im Ghetto, aus dem Ramirez-Clan. Sie scheinen sich nicht sonderlich gut zu verstehen, doch Maria fängt an, seine Stimmungsschwankungen zu verstehen. Diese Geschichte liegt mir schon lange am Herzen.
