Twenty-two-year-old Bonnie Grader is a fourth-year student at the New York Film Academy. Bonnie, who comes from a long line of former Hollywood producers and directors, aspires to outperform her fathers' stellar career accomplishments. After completing her high school education, Bonnie relocates to New York to further her goals. Bonnie fell behind all of her classmates and is barely making it through her final year, despite having countless opportunities and recommendations at her disposal.
Their professor had given them six months to create and produce their own cinematic documentary as their final assignment, which would ensure their graduation. Bonnie felt a connection to her project because the movie focused on the theme of passion and the arts, but she can't make a documentary about herself, can she? When Bonnie travels to Japan to meet her Auntie, she meets a man who will become her subject and discovers the dark side of the industry in which his career is rooted. A lone musician who has all the qualities of a musical prodigy yet is apathetic to the soul his craft contains and the hearts it touches.
