Life as mankind known it, is being in constant fear of being attacked by vampires. So it wasn't supposed to happen. He wasn't supposed to attack him. They were supposed to go on a once in a lifetime hunt. They had sighted the current Lord of Vampires nearby. They were supposed to kill him. Everyone expected them to kill him. After all, they were the best Hunters in the region. That's why no one expected it, when Iwaizumi's partner, bestfriend, and lover, chickened out of the hunt. No one expected, especially Iwaizumi, that Oikawa would attack him.

(My second iwoai I just love the ship too much) Iwa finds out about the stress in Oikawa's life...and realizes why he has skipped school, volleyball and basically all interaction with everyone...including himself. And to be quite honest, he misses him so horribly.
