On the other hand, Will has had a secret crush on Nico for a long time. Will he finally get the courage to tell him? It starts with the three days in the infirmary, and has a lot of content that relates to Trials of Apollo. The events at the end go exactly into what happens in The Hidden Oracle. Nico di Angelo- The child of Hades. He was a depressed ball of rage wherever he went. He preferred spending his time in his cabin, alone. He would often forget to take care of himself such as go outside to eat. Nobody would ever like him. Or so he thought... Will Solace- The child of Apollo. Basically a dream. He lifted everyone's spirit as soon as he walked through the door. He literally glowed when he was happy, which was most of the time. He was the best healer out of the whole camp. Come on, who wouldn't have the hots for a smart, hot, teen doctor? So out of all the people he could've found interesting, why Nico? That's what the child of Hades is trying to figure out while he's oblivious to the complete obvious. Might Will actually have a chance to break down Nico's walls and find the key to his heart?

a solangelo story :). "You shine," he said, "you know that, right?" Nico rolled his eyes. "Can it, Solace. I'm so going to tease you for this when you come back around." Will chuckled and let his hand fall from Nico's cheek. "I hope I never come back around," he said with a small smile. He stared right into Nico's eyes. Sky blue met muddy brown. "Your eyes are beautiful." He leaned toward Nico, his eyes half closed. Nico shoved him off the log.

Nico is infirmary-bound for three days with Will looking after him, but what if Will is able to heal not just Nico's body, but his heart as well?

Nico di Angelo is finally happy. He's learning to accept himself for his sexuality and as a son of Hades. After everything horrible that has happened to him, he's slowly getting better with the help of Will and his friends. Will Solace finally got the boy of his dreams. The boy he had a crush on since he was 11 years old. He's starting to realize that he isn't as useless as he thinks he is, and that he's actually worth something. Everything is going great for a while. But just like it always is for demigods, nothing good ever lasts. The death of Nico's first and closest friend Jason Grace puts a sudden end to the sunshine that currently brightens Nico's life for once. His death triggers a lot of things for him, and shines light on a lot of his unresolved trauma. Will Nico be able to make it through this without his mental stability completely breaking once and for all? Will Nico be able to let people in enough to help him get through it? And what about the mysterious dreams that Nico keeps having of his mom? And who really is this little girl that knows nothing about her past? In this sequel to Out of the Shadows, Nico sees familiar faces and revisits past places, but at least this time he has Will along for the ride. Spoilers for basically every Percy Jackson book, including Tower of Nero. ⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ death, homophobia, mental health issues that includes but not limited to PTSD and depression, heavy angst later on, brief harassment and brief physical violence (someone gets slapped once).
