Kokichi was shy, bullied and weak. He had no friends, and was selectively mute. He felt his existence was an inconvenience, and resolved not to bother anyone. But all that changed when Kaito Momota gave him a chance.

TRIGGER WARNING: abuse, guns, arson/crime, homophobia, religious trauma mentions, e/ds, s/h, vomiting, and attempted suicide. do not read if you are sensitive to any of these things! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ a short summary: Shuichi and Kokichi meet in a forest, venting to eachother about their shitty families, Shuichi develops an obsession very quickly. they meet every so often talking about their interests in a barn. one day Kokichi's father finds them and Shuichi barely manages to keep them from getting caught. the next time they meet, Kokichi talks to him about how he's been put onto anti-depressants. Shuichi comforts him, and once Kokichi leaves his parents get angry and ground him for a while, forcing him to stay inside. the next time they meet, (about a month later) Shuichi admits his love, but in a way that makes him seem insane. then he tries to change, as Kokichi's obviously disturbed. then after Kokichi talks about his abusive parents, Shuichi waits to burn down Kokichi's house. he surrounds it in gasoline, taking a match, striking it and throwing it.
