When starving incubus Dante Agosti lands a job working for hot-tempered celebrity chef Cedric Hale, he can't believe his luck. Working for his idol ought to be a dream come true, providing him with all the culinary passion he could possibly eat. There's just one problem: dealing with the demands of reality TV has given Cedric the worst case of burnout Dante has ever seen. As Dante struggles to reignite his boss's love of cooking, the kitchen heats up in more ways than one. What began as a last-ditch attempt to sate his hunger soon sparks something more as Dante's boundless determination begins melting Cedric's hard exterior. But Dante knows all too well that loving a leech like him could have horrible consequences. If he isn't careful, their love could consume them both. A woman wakes up in the middle of a forest, remembering everything except her name. One thought drives her-she must get home. - Two years ago, Haylen Fayes watched his sister dissolve into blue mist. No Death Dreame has come since, so he knows, with the deepest certainty, that she is alive-at least for now. But with the Principality of Marok the Third banning unregulated divination, he turns to illegal sources for answers. As disappearances rise and Peacekeepers crack down, Haylen must leave the principality sooner than planned. - Now calling herself Lynnette, the woman feels an irresistible pull north-where the Otherlings dwell, and humans are unwelcome. As she travels ancient roads, unfamiliar memories resurface, but she knows not of their significance - not yet. - As the siblings search for each other, they realise that the disappearances were no accident. From golden fire snaking across skies to the haunting song in the winds, everything leads back to the nature of the blue mists. And, at the heart of it all, lies a living mechanism that has slept for two thousand years. Now, it's waking up. **Prompts used: 12 and 93** Credit to @Heuristic_Hashmath for the amazing cover

UPDATES ON-HOLD UNTIL AUGUST 2025 ❝𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝒆𝒙𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖?❞ Asael didn't want to marry, let alone be forced into it by his parents, with a woman he didn't know. But to avoid any conflict and continue being the good son in their eyes, he gave in and set up a prayer of adoration to ask for God's blessing on his future. Only for the devil to show up unprompted, irritated, and demanding to be returned to hell. But after pressing close together to hide the supernatural from another human, neither of them could deny the spark that flickered between them under the sheets in the dark of Asael's room. Finding himself stuck with potentially ruining everything between him and his family and the temptation to side with the devil, he might just give in to the latter. After all, with him, there was truth and freedom--the freedom to carve his own future, the freedom to carve a story to be told without any underlying fantasy. Or was there? Sometimes, even with the intrusion of the supernatural, destiny finds a way to emerge as the true story. - NO LONGER FOR ONC Used prompts #88 and some more from the @OpenNovellaContest #ONC2024 Read the first part for information about this and other stuff! Ever since she's been diagnosed with brain cancer, Estelle Cordelia has lost the meaning of trust and love. Every "I love you" was because she had cancer. Every tear, touch, and hug was because of her cancer. Every time she started a conversation, it always led back to cancer. It was bad enough that her family smothered her, taking her freedom from her. But her self value? That left the moment that tumour had been revealed. She would've been happy to die. Hell, she did. Her doctors had given her a way to save herself. The price? Her ability to move. They told her it would only happen if someone made a mistake while removing the tumor, but it scared her nonetheless. So she decided in the span of a minute: If she was going to die, she would do so on her own terms. Not because of a fucking disease, and not because of a mistake that would cost her, her freedom. She'd lost enough of it because of the disease, she wouldn't lose it again. And so she jumped. She jumped off the building, and let death wrap its arms around her. But death wasn't what she thought it would've been. She expected darkness, peace. But she woke up in a field of golden flowers while the sun rose. And in front of her, was a man. She could only assume he was the Grim Reaper, but he looked too young, too naive. And, most of all, he was surprised. It seemed he had the question she had: What was she doing here?
