After Sokka and Zuko's trip to the Boiling Rock, in order to rescue Sokka's father and Suki, the two boys put aside their differences and pasts and become close friends. So close that Sokka can't get the firebender prince off his mind and his heart keeps skipping beats when Zuko laids his eyes on him. So close that Sokka finds himself ignoring Suki's existence and even his lost love, Yue, just for the golden eyes of a prince and wonder why does it feel so hot when the firebender touches him. For the simple reason that the exiled prince has set his heart on fire and has made him crave for the love of a firebender. 5 years after the end of the 100 year war and the defeat of Lord Ozai, Fire Lord Zuko and Avatar Aang have succeeded in producing a plan for the new Republic City, that will become a safe haven for immigrants from all nations that have been displaced by the war. When Zuko receives reports of a group of four bandits stealing from the construction site he calls the Gaang back together to figure out their plan. However, Aang is distracted by one key point in the case: there appears to be an airbender on the team of bandits...is he no longer "The Last Airbender?" Some Kataang fluff and angst...plus some slow burn Zukka ;) Disclaimer: I do not own any of the original characters from ATLA

After the war has ended, the gaang spends some time in the fire nation. What will happen when Zuko and Sokka become a bit too close?

A story that continues the ATLA story, one that jumps ahead 5 years. We focus on the trauma of Sokka and how he copes with Suki's death. I will put TW at the beginning of touchy subjects and themes that might be disturbing or uneasy for others. when zuko decides to calm down and not immediately shoot fire at aang, listening to him instead, he manages to find out the truth about his own past. (diverges from canon after book one, episode thirteen "the blue spirit")

Takes place maybe 5-6 years after ATLA arc. Aged up. Edit: Zuko doesn't have the best people skills, or leadership skills to be honest. But guess who does? It may take some time for him to realize it, but Zuko enlists Sokka to help with another redemption arc for the Fire Nation. Working together, learning together, loving toge- who said anything about that?! Wait, are there feeling here? Feelings can't get in the way of the mission...world peace is at stake! (Also, how I want to envision the bridge between ALTA and LoK to be established. All it takes is some gayyy) "It's the meeting with the other nations. They all think I have all the answers!" Zuko threw up his arms in aggravation. "I don't know what I'm doing!?" He slumped down onto the foot of Sokka's bed, holding his face in his hands. Confused at the candor of his former rival, he lifted a hand to pat his shoulder. One tap...a hesitation, then a couple more taps, "That's rough, Buddy."
