Previously titled "Take Flight on a Dragon" _________ The dragon growled, revealing a set of gleaming teeth. The leaking gash on her wing was forgotten as she fixed her eyes on the girl before her, warning her to not take a second step. Kiara raised her hand to calm the purple dragon, her heart pounding in her chest. Every impulse screamed at her to back away but she stood firm, determined to help the dragon who had helped her. The beast's big blue eyes briefly flickered from the girl to her extended palm. Her muscles tensed. Her growl intensified. Yet Kiara refused to leave. _________ Long before she had been sucked into a world of dragons, Kiara was home to a spirit of adventure and curiosity. Bending the rules was second nature to her, questioning them was first. Despite this, she had somehow lived a quiet life in her sixteen years of existence. Her rebellious side was a hidden quality that surfaced now and then but never really made a dent. That was until the one school camping trip that changed her life forever. _________ Hello everyone! This is a fanfic that I'm writing out of my love for How To Train Your Dragon. My story occurs loosely around the Netflix series (Dragons: Race to the Edge) so any characters from that series do not belong to me. Don't worry if you haven't seen it - you won't need to have watched it to understand the plot. Anyway, see ya in there! ;D -Tan P.S. I'll update whenever I can :)

"In front of him lies the Night Fury, the most dangerous dragon in the known world, one that he's felled, the one that could prove that he does have what it takes to kill dragons. But its eyes are open, shining and white-gold, and he sees himself reflected in them. And he knows that he won't kill it." Bakugou Katsuki has always wanted to kill dragons, a species that has plagued the city for over seven generations. And, after coming out on top in all of U.A. Dragonkiller Academy's training sims, you'd think that it would be easy---except it's not. He can fight dragons, sure, but when it comes to dealing the deathblow...his blood flows backwards in his body, and his Quirk fails him. So yeah--despite potentially being the best dragon-killer ever, he physically can't kill dragons. Deku's killed dragons. Shitty-Hair has killed dragons. Half n' Half, Round Face---all of them have killed dragons. And he hasn't---can't, not when he's looking at them from afar. But when he shoots down a dragon that no one's ever seen, his faith in his bloodline, world, and aspirations shatter. And something--someone--new rises in their place. And this someone won't kill dragons--but he will ride them. [cross-posted on Ao3]
