Lucy Steele is extra ordinary. And the space in the middle is important. She's a nobody, a muggleborn Hufflepuff with the sort of passing kindness that people don't ever seem to notice. She is ordinary in every sense of the word. And she likes it that way. Tom Riddle, on the other hand, is extraordinary - no space - and he knows it. He makes sure everyone else does too. He's a model student, charming, charismatic, perfect. He's spent every moment at Hogwarts convincing everyone else that the mask he wears is real. There are only two people who have ever failed to believe him: Albus Dumbledore and Lucy Steele. The moment Tom realizes Lucy doesn't believe a word out of his mouth is the moment he makes it his mission to convince her. And it doesn't take long before he realizes that Lucy Steele is a far more difficult and dangerous problem than he thought.

Rumors and reputation are probably the most powerful things in the world. Depending on who tells you, you will believe a rumor immediately, normally probably not making even sure it is true. If you have a good reputation, no matter how ridiculous what you say is, people will trust you much more than they would somebody with a bad reputation. If you have an amazing reputation, you probably will be popular and liked by most of the people. However, if you have a bad reputation while everyone around you has a good one, you will get obsessed with the idea of having also one like that. And maybe you'll just abandon everything, only to get it. At least this is what happened to my brother. Who is he? Let me present myself. My name is Katherina Lupin

Pain. That was all she could feel. And that, was the only thing she would ever feel. | | | Azalea Evans is someone who should be pitied by everyone, however, nobody did. She was Lily Evans' twin sister, younger by three minutes, born on the 30th of January, 1960, and incredibly -there's is no other word- perfect.Perfect grades, perfect looks, perfect everything. But everybody hated her for that. Everybody except for the three Black sisters. They all loved Lily, and didn't even know that Azalea existed. Those who knew however, didn't give her a good time; from bullies to duels it would go, as the poor girl cursed her life. More than once she had thought about committing suicide, many times tried it, but it had never really worked. She was used to being hated, but then, one day, a certain Gryffindor boy and his friends turned her life upside down. Before, she had a wall around her, it was inpenetrable. Nobody could trespass it. But then...she noticed, that that wall, that fake new personality, was doing her no good. That's when she decided: she would no longer hide in the shadow, no. Now, she would show the world her true face.

And she's never tried to be anything else. She's a poster-girl pureblood Slytherin who is in all the right crowds and making all the right friends from the moment she sets foot on the train to Hogwarts. She's top in her class and the envy of every girl at Hogwarts. But as pressure from her parents mounts, the disgusted stares of the other houses and the constant insults of the Marauders start to get to Lavinia and her perfect facade begins to crack. Before she knows it, she's struggling to function, practically screaming for help and no one seems to notice. Well. No one who would want to help her anyway. Sirius Black is the last person Lavinia would go to for help.

Lumos! "Love is the light that will guide you home." Lucy Diggory has heard these words from her family all her life, but when her foundation is shaken, falling apart piece by piece, her idea of home begins to change. Love asks difficult questions; the answers to these questions rarely feel quite right. But at the end of the day, love remains true. Lucy loves Ottery St. Catchpole, and her family's simple and sweet life there. Lucy loves Hogwarts too, and the family she built there. Nox! When all goes dark, which love-light will guide her home? Note: I do not own anything about Harry Potter, as much as I may wish I did. I do not own any images I may use either, though I do wish I were talented enough to make my own artwork for this story. Happy reading!
