My eyes glazed over the tall boy, taking in every detail of his face. His expression was marked with concentration and vulnerability as he recalled the notes to the song. I took a step forward, resting my elbows on the large piano he was seated at, ignoring the people around it. I met the eyes of the musician, and it was as if, for a moment.. His eyes were not his typical icey-blue, it was as though they were the deep blue of an ocean. He hesitated as he noticed my presence, pausing ever so slightly before the next note of the song.
