DISCONTINUED As of April 22, 2025 I am discontinuing this fic. I had plans to finish the fic before summer, but I just don't feel comfortable engaging in the Harry Potter fandom in any capacity anymore. JK Rowling has ruined a space that meant so much to me and other people by being a horrible person. The last thing I want to do is bring any more attention to her work and possibly give her any more money to donate to anti-trans legislation in the UK. I know this might seem performative. I know that this close to the end, some of you might feel cheated by never getting an ending. But I can't keep writing this story with a clear conscience. Harry Potter was one of the few things that kept me alive when I was suicidal. I feel cheated out of my safe space, and all because JK Rowling is a fucking TERF (among other horrible things). I'm only leaving it because I don't want to cause further pain to any of you by removing it forever. I love you all, but I have to do what's right for me.
