Katara is Aang's anchor. The post trauma of the battle with Ozai left Aang in shreds mentally. She holds him down when his mind wants him to drift away. Along the way, Aang asked her to be his and she accepted. But now, blossoming feelings arise for another man, one she knows she shouldn't fall for.

How would it feel? To have the girl you want in fingertip reach after you realize her little friend is only that a friend. And then to have an old flame who is obsessed with gaining her back, return. How you you react? Well you kidnap the girl of course! Katara, strong waterbender, healer, powerful bloodbender, now in the hands of the boy she fears and has been running from for months. The only thing keeping her going is hope. Hope to end this war. Jet, leader of the freedom fighters, good with pick swords, now returns for Katara's love. "I'll save you from the pirates." Katara ran into the back of his chest. She mentally cursed herself. She quickly bent some water to freeze on the fire prince's feet. It bought her just barely enough time to bend water to carry her away. Then the water began bending back towards the shore. One of the pirates was a water bender. They pulled me under and wouldn't allow me to take a breath of air, they crashed my body against the rocks several times before finally allowing me up. When I broke through the surface I took a deep breath. Zuko reached in and dragged me out, tying me to a tree. "Where's the Avatar?" He asked. And that's where it all began..... Under Editing!

The war has ended. Katara has ended up with Aang, and Zuko's with Mai, and everyone should be happy, right ? The truth is everyone was happy... Except Katara and Zuko. Who both had a dark secret that could destroy their friendships if they didn't approve of it - their feelings for each other. "All was golden in the sky, all was golden when the day met the night."
