This is a story about a lot of things. Things like bluebirds and Harbingers, ukuleles and fancy bicycles, old people, young people, poetry, weed and no-good boyfriends, digging through trashcans, painting, recycling, smoking and drinking, friends and neighbors, parties and Christmas gifts, stolen things and lost things, dancing, terrible singing, guilt, angry people and sad people, but also happy people, nursing homes, a large black dog named Moppy, tree-climbing and ice-skating, smiling, and above all, an old man named Humphrey. Told from the fresh perspective of nine-year-old Lola Wosey. ~~ Everything in this story came from my head. All of the characters, events and settings are fictional and are mine. You absolutely may not reproduce or use this book or any part of it. It's mine. Don't be a jackass about it. © R.M. Cage 2014, and all that.

Hannah Taylors finally gives in to her desperation and does one of the stupidest things a girl can do to grab her unapproachable long-time crush Jonah Gibbs' attention: spill soda on his white shirt and leave a motherfrigging red blotch on it. Accidentally... on purpose.

"Don't tell me how to run MY gang," I whispered threateningly through gritted teeth. "You might have been right before, but this is still MY gang, and I'M the boss around here." "For now," he said breezily before turning and walking away. Perhaps it was only a figure of speech. Or perhaps it was a threat. ~~~ Janie "Jade" Rowlens is the leader of one of the most notorious gangs in the city. She's tough, she's mean, but she's a girl, and that means everything. None of the other gang members accept her, in both her gang and their rivals, the Jaguars. As things start to get rough, though, she must fight for respect more than ever. But will she eventually win the respect she deserves, or will someone else knock her off her throne, and perhaps take her life as well? ~~~ A/N: This is the first draft, so please forgive any and all mistakes. I will be revising both as I go and at the end. © "I am the Night" stickerfy 2013
