A man from England hires Nico to find out the truth behind his sister's untimely death after her husband, a Spanish lord, does not give many details to her demise. The two, joined by Erik, travel to her husband's manor off the coast of Spain and begin digging. But the more they dig, the more that they find that not everything is as it seems, and it could mean their own lives.

Erik, Nico, and Dupin are called in by a woman to keep an eye on her granddaughters at a party, but when a murder occurs that night, they rush to catch the criminal before another can happen.

Nico and Erik are asked by the police to help them solve a murder that has them stumped. But boy are they in for a surprise when they find out the story the clues tell.
