The reader was born in Meteor City until she was abducted into slavery. After years in captivity she is released from her chains by the Zoldycks and is trained by the family until seven years later where she leaves again to find her next chapter in life. The story starts at the 287th hunter exam where she is in charge of the fourth phase, it's also where she meets Hisoka for the first time and is reunited with her old masters and friends Illumi and Killua.
