Selene Ravenscroft: la sirena del Capitolio... o la sirena rebelde, según el lado de la historia que deseen saber. Antes de siquiera obtener el apodo o formar parte de la revolución, era una simple chica con el deseo de mantener su burbuja de familia feliz. Aquel acto, que para ellos fue una forma de mantenerse con el otro, para el resto de Panem se interpretó como un acto de rebelión en contra del Capitolio. Ahora, la chispa se ha encendido y no saben cómo detenerlo. Selene Ravenscroft, la Sirena del Capitolio, ha estado prestando atención a cada movimiento de la Chica en Llamas desde que se presentó como voluntaria. Sabe que está en peligro y que los rebeldes necesitan a Katniss Everdeen con vida para continuar con lo que llevan años formando, y está dispuesta a lo que sea para que la chispa encienda una hoguera de la que Snow no podrá escapar.
