Alex is married to Eliza. They truly were in love in high school and quickly married at the age of nineteen. Things seemed perfect until it wasn't. Eliza changed and Alex couldn't stand it. Spending the night with his best friend, John Laurens, became an easy escape from his wife.

Alexander and John were best friends since the beginning of middle school. When Alex is gone John blames himself for not realizing earlier. John Laurens seems to find himself fascinated in his new art school, invested with his new friends. Now at 18, I check up on this occasionally just to see how it's doing, and I've noticed a lot of comments about these little things, so I thought I would add this note.
