Orelia Foster never imagined she'd find a way out. She never believed that one day, someone would come and free her from the man who'd held her captive for most of her life. A man who saw her only as a means to make money. That's how some foster parents are-uncaring about the health or well-being of the children they take in. Money, money, money. That's all they crave. That's all they'll ever crave. But Orelia didn't care where she ended up. As long as she had her ballet and the melodies only she could hear to fill her mind. Then, one day, everything changes. A woman arrives to take her away to a secluded house deep in the mountains. A place where a boy lives-always silent. Always watching. Always listening to whatever plays in his headphones, a cigarette always resting between his full lips. A boy who's just like her. Shuffled from one foster home to another, as if they were nothing. She's intrigued. Orelia has never felt this kind of intrigue before. Not like this. But he's mysterious... and oh so hauntingly beautiful. ❀❀❀ Started: November 2nd 2022 Finished: Ongoing <33

Neither salt nor sugar settles on your tongue. Only this blood of mine does. Neither I nor she fills up your heart. Only these tears of mine do. [POETRY/PROSE]
