He took another sip of his coffee, set it to the side, and clasped his naked hands together, setting them on the table in front of him. "The problem is that you, like every other reporter, say these nice things but then the second I walk away from the conversation, I'm made out to be a womanizer and a diva." I raised my eyebrows at that and leaned forward. "Well...are you a womanizer and a diva Mr. Styles?" I watched as something that I couldn't quite define flashed through his green eyes. "No. I am not." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What happens when Harry Styles, the one who swore he'd never open up, becomes the vulnerable one? What happens when he pushes back against the mysterious journalist, Rue Kline, and forces her to open up as well? "I don't wanna be alone when it ends..."

They've known each other since they were eleven, inseparable best friends for as long as they can remember, but long distance and spotty behavior causes them to lose touch after graduation. When Maddie and Harry run into each other again ten years later, what happens when feelings that were pushed away begin to resurface? EXCERPT: "How about this..." He suddenly gets an idea, a bold one, but he can't help but share it. "If neither of us are married by thirty, let's get married." Obviously, she'll be married by thirty. She's perfect, and any man who's as dense as a rock could see it. Surely, someone will sweep her off her feet and put a ring on her finger in the next twelve years, it's inevitable with the type of person she is. Deep down he wants it to be him, but he wouldn't dare make a move that could ruin the strongest friendship he's had his entire life. Maddie finds herself smiling at Harry's idea, she loves it. It won't happen though, because some girl in the future is bound to fall in love with Harry and his kind heart, and he'll be head over heels for her too. It's inevitable that someone will fall in love with his dimpled smile and caring soul, and even though Maddie already has, she wouldn't dare make a move that could ruin the strongest friendship she's had her entire life. The age of thirty is twelve years away for them, it's too obvious that nothing will come from this harmless bet. "Deal." "Really?" Harry raises his eyebrows, amused at her response. "Really." They shake hands just as the song comes to an end and another one begins. But Harry doesn't let go of Lainey's hand, instead he catches her off guard by spinning her under his arm and dipping her. 18+ / Very Mature "So you've been stalking me?" "Completely." I laugh at his candor and I watch as his eyes light up, "I applaud your honesty." "Why thank you." He responds with mock bashfulness. I pause for a second before I speak again, "I've noticed you too." "Yeah?" He asks with wide eyes and a pleased smile. I'm surprised by his surprise. He comes off as so confident, yet here he is, shocked that I could've been looking at him too. "Yeah." I bite my lip as the urge to touch his beautiful body increases, "But you've always been taken." "I bet none of those girls would feel as good as you." His voice comes out in a low whisper completely catching my insides on fire. "You're right, they don't." I state with no hesitance. There's no doubt in my body that I couldn't pleasure this boy better than any girl he's been with.

In other ways, Piper Stone is not your average 23 year old. She graduated a year ago with a Ph.D in computer science, her shit job was at MI6, her shoebox flat was below the flat of a man who may or may not be the head of London's largest crime syndicate. Oh, and now shes's working with one of the most elite agents in the service, a member of a notorius black ops group, who's as lethal as he is attractive. Did she mention she was sleeping with him? " You really aren't in any position to be making demands, hot shot" I say pushing the blade harder against his neck. He chuckles deeply before leaning into the blade " and you, little devil, should know by now I'm not scared of you." A shiver runs down my spine. I'm fucked. I lower the knife slowly as my eyes flick down to his lips. Don't do this, Sage. Either walk away or kill him, those are your options. His hand slowly cups my face as he grabs my chin. He tilts it up forcing me to look at his eyes. With that one look everything stops. I am so beyond fucked it's not even funny. How the fuck did I get here. "Now correct me if I'm wrong, little devil, but I believe my eyes are up here," That stupid smirk crosses his lips as he continues " if you keep staring I might get the impression you want something from me." He lowers his mouth to my ear " Say the word and I'm yours Sage."

Navigating their blossoming relationship through tours and a burgeoning new career, the hiatus and new directions, they experience all manner of highs and lows. They'll face revelations and illnesses, break ups and make ups, weddings and anniversaries. But whose? The story starts in September 2016, with the rest of the chapters then telling the unfolding story of their relationship chronologically from January 2015. Harry features heavily - because he's incredibly charismatic and so talented - but I feel a little out of my comfort zone writing RFC, so will be mindful to be as respectful as possible.
