A short story I wrote for my Indigenous Feminism class.

Brie Montgomery is a beautiful young girl from Laurel, MS all set to start college in the fall at the University of Tennessee. Seth Madden is the hunky much older friend of her best friend's brother. Unable to control their desires for one another they begin a wild romance over the summer that blossomed into love. Brie is heartbroken that she must leave to start school once the summer ends and Seth is grief-stricken but is unable to bring himself to ask her to stay. Being the selfless person that he is, he encourages her to go in hopes that when she returns, they can rekindle their love but there are several challenges along the way. Will their love be enough to weather the storm or will it be nothing more than a memory?
