Lennon Carter is a newly eighteen year old that's ready to get away from all she's ever known. She doesn't want to think about what happened, or even acknowledge the fact that it ever happened. Packing up the essentials and her credit card, she heads for the big open road without a plan insight. The plan comes to her from a strange suburban dad after a few days of aimlessly driving down the highway in the form of a paper town. Elliston is where all the nomads come together, a pit stop of sorts for the misguided. Anything is impossible in those woods because reality is no match for the time of Lennon's life. She's about to learn that freedom may come along with a bit of a young adult's romance novel plot line starring her and a boy just as screwed up as her, Jude Love.

"What?" She asked again, disbelief shining throughout her whole face. "You heard me," I answered, looking her straight in the eyes. I could tell this made her uncomfortable, and it was just what I was aiming for. "I have no words to describe how beautiful you are." "But, you must have at least...something. There are so many words to describe a person as beautiful!" I chuckled at her frustrated state, shaking my head slightly. "But none are enough too describe you. You defy every meaning of all words meaning beautiful. That is why I cannot give you a word that describes how beautiful you are. There are just none in my beauty vocabulary."

Adeline Welsh had always been pretty confident that she was cursed. Ever since her fourteenth birthday, she'd had a totally unrealistic, totally uncoordinated, and totally uncalled for string of bad luck. To make matters worse, on the day she truly believed something was going to go right for once, she ended up being rejected by her longtime crush while simultaneously being witness to the death of a boy she never even really knew. And perhaps she would have been able to move on and forget about it, just like everything else. Only if it weren't for the unintentionally clingy ghost now tethered to her, causing her to rethink everything she thought she knew about the people around her, and more importantly, herself. “Well hey there, at least buy me dinner first.” I could feel Aaron's eyes burning through the back of my head as he stared down at me. Down. Towards his crotch. I was face to crotch with Aaron Cross. --- Life is full of Awkward moments; unfortunately for Blake Miller, her life is just one big Awkward moment. From being named Blake because her parents were expecting a boy, to walking in on her dad "wrestling" with her mother's sister. But when Blake's house gets damaged from a hazardous flood and they tear her house down brick by brick when they find a severe mold infestation, her life is about to pass the level of Awkward when they move in with her mom's current boyfriend and his insufferable son who just so happens to be her school's notorious star player -- and not just in sports. Blake's situation probably wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a history between the two, and she will soon realize that not only will her past reveal itself, but so will the secrets kept hidden around her. [DISCLAIMER: i am aware that wattpad changed the rating to rated R, but that's only because of the excessive amount of swearing from the characters. other than that, this book contains mostly PG-13 material.] [humor #13 - 04/11/15]
