The story follows high school girl mio as she try's to unravel the mystery behind her childhood friend's death 10 years ago, but with the introduction of a new transfer student mio notices a similar presence in his way of communicating and mio knows for sure that he is hitoshi but she clearly remembers seeing hitoshi die in front of her.
