Kaneki Ken has just recently come to the shocking realization that he has become the very thing he fears; a ghoul. Scared, hungry, and confused, Kaneki feels as though he has no one to turn to. That is, until he is shown kindness from a, somewhat strange ghoul. From that point, their feelings for each other bloom into something even more obscure than Kaneki's life.

After Hide loses a tremendous amount of blood, the CCG finds a way to keep him alive. But, the down fall is, Hide has lost all of his memories. Sure, he remembers going to and graduating college, even applying for the CCG, but everything past that is a blur and the one person that loved him most has been forgotten. If he were to get his memories back, would he return Kaneki's feelings? What adventures would the two go on together? Would it end the same way it almost had before?
