Brian Walker, the IT guy at a small government contractor, has two problems. First, he hasn't had his morning coffee, and second, a strange voice in his head claims an alien invasion is underway. Solving the least pressing of the two should be pretty simple, but that leaves the coffee issue to deal with! Still, what if that voice is telling the truth? Brian's lunch buddy, Dale, thinks so-but then, he also thinks the government has been putting mind control drugs in the water supply. After deciding to trust the voice in his head, all he needs is a first-rate team to face off against the aliens. He ends up with a Princess Bride fanatic (with eyes for him), a conspiracy theorist, and a cosplayer. Follow Brian and his ill-equipped band of office workers, as they try to save the world from well-meaning aliens that have finally lost patience waiting for the human race to kill itself off.

{WATTY'S 2020 WINNER & EDITOR'S PICK.} Hopeless romantic and aspiring writer Mare Atwood has fallen madly in love with her childhood correspondent. There's only one catch-she doesn't know who he is. When the beaus of Star's Crossing return from boarding school to begin the courting season, Mare is determined to uncover the identity of her writer, flout her family's intentions of orchestrating an advantageous marriage, and procure the life of writing and romance she's always sought. But as in the tales she so adores, it won't be easy. Galas, masquerades, picnics, and hunts-alongside an old friend, a former teacher, and an unlikely ally, Mare delves into an investigation that leaves her torn between three clever, deceptive, and wealthy young bachelors. If Mare can confirm which is her writer and claim his hand before the courting season ends, she'll have her wish: the love of her life, a valuable marriage, and a future of writing romance. But with the eyes of Star's Crossing upon her, a business plot forcing invisible hands, and the unwillingness of her writer to come forward-Mare's future may not end in triumph, but tragedy. Set against the gilded Victorian backdrop of coastal Connecticut and lush with pre-war luxury, fans of Jane Austen, Margaret Mitchell, and Louisa May Alcott are sure to enjoy this lighthearted, lyrical novel of young love, independence, and identity. #1 Literary #1 YA Romance #1 Victorian #1 Lyrical #8 General Fiction

2020 WATTYS WINNER in NEW ADULT! Oliver Ausman has been given a second chance at life, but it's hard to feel grateful when he was the one trying to end it in the first place. Returning to his normal life after being released from the hospital is hard, especially since his parent's idea of normal is made up of dinner parties, prep school, fancy suits, and fake manners-- all paired with a complete disregard for the mental health of their firstborn. He's long been fed up with it, but the final straw is when he finds out that his "father" isn't actually his father at all. Oliver decides he's had enough of the perfect facade, so he packs a suitcase and grabs his younger brother, "borrowing" his mother's car to sneak off on a trip to find his biological father. But he never expected to pick up a girl with her own similar set of problems, to be followed across the country by a money-hungry pair of criminals, or most of all, to find out that maybe this life thing isn't as bad as he thought. ☆DISCLAIMER☆ THIS STORY ISN'T MINE IM POSTING THIS SO NOT ONLY EVERYONE ELSE CAN READ THIS BUT I CAN TOO. THIS IS MY FAVORITE BOOK SO I WANT TO KEEP IT ALIVE. PLEASE DON'T TAKE THAT AWAY FROM ME also there are a few tiny typos in this that I fixed I hope that's okay There is now a new cover (credits at the end of description) if there are ANY problems with the cover, please let me know what's wrong with it and I'll fix it. Thank you all so much for taking as much interest in this story as me! ☆END OF DISCLAIMER☆ Also I don't have the original description so I'll just elaborate and use one I saw on another book "Two whole months of free laundry in exchange for two weeks of being my fake boyfriend. Deal?" Keith hesitated for a moment. Was this really worth it? Hardly. Lance was an asshole, and he wasn't sure what fake dating would entail. But, free laundry was free laundry, right? "Alright, it's a deal." Or: Lance makes the mistake of telling his mom he has a boyfriend coming home with him for Christmas. Keith makes the mistake of agreeing to be Lance's 'fake boyfriend' Credits to k-lance for the description If you see any typos you can comment of them and I'll fix it Credits to Ren for making the cover and wayward.mw for the art. I love this story more than life itself and my heart just can't get enough. I've read this story so many times and now you can too.
