16 year old Eddie Kaspbrak was just finishing his sophomore year when his mother, Sonia got a divorce with her husband, Frank Kaspbrak. Sonia had gotten a new job all the way in Derry, Maine; causing Eddie's life to come to an abrupt stop and they had to move all the way from New York, to a small suburban neighborhood next to a tall lanky 17 year old, Richie Tozier.
