They met in a grocery store when they both reached for the same cereal box. If you searched up "husband material", pictures of Percy would show up. But there was one problem; none of that explained why Annabeth simply wasn't in love with him anymore. She cocked her head to the side, gazed at her husband, and couldn't summon a shred of excitement. There was no easy way to put it; after five years of marriage, Annabeth was completely and utterly bored. There were too many awkward silences, too much tension, and neither of them could even be bothered to fight. That is, until Percy begins acting weirdly, and then they don't seem to have any problem in that department. Light is shed upon aspects of Percy's past and Annabeth realises that the man she married isn't who she thought he was at all. Thrust into the path of danger and a realm of uncertainty, Annabeth finds herself unable to let go of the man she once considered the love of her life despite everything telling her that she should. A story of rediscovery and proving that falling in love the second time is even better than the first.
