Although surrounded by the comfort of her friends, she cannot escape the deafening screams of loneliness for not having the intimate touch she always desired from quite an unorthodox source. However, things change when she receives a mysterious text out of the blue, followed by an unexpected visit from a man she never in her wildest dreams thought she would see again. Running wasn't an option, hiding was out of the question, so Molly is forced to comply with his demands, no matter how low, disturbing and incriminating.

Molly Hooper longs to be like the clique of it-girls that run Baskerville : the unaffected, unattainable Sign of Three. Unfortunately, in addition to their popularity, the Three dominate the school into submission with their cruelty. When Molly impresses the leader, Irene Adler, with her incredible forgery skills in order to get them out of detention, the Three let her into their clique. Molly is thrilled until she discovers that to be apart of the now Sign of Four, she must slouch down to their level. Meanwhile, Molly meets a mysterious new boy, Jim Moriarty. When an innocent prank results in the accidental poisoning of Irene Adler, Jim convinces Molly to stage Irene's suicide. The results are so successful that Molly and Jim, high on their newfound power, resolve to rid Baskerville of the cruelly popular elite forever.
