It has been five years. Five years since Prince Ben made the proclamation, to allow the four children of the most ruthless villains to live among them. Five years since Ben fell in love with Mal, and she fell in love with him. But it has also been five years since they have last seen each other. When the magic barrier was broken, the four children did not choose good, instead, there parents came to Auradon- only to take then back to the isle and turn them evil again. You see since then, Ben and Audrey are engaged, but not one day has gone by that mal wasn't in his head. When the four children return to Auradon what will happen? Will Carlos find his furry friend- Dude?Will Jay be numer 1 on the tourney field?Will Evie realize that Doug has always been waiting? Once upon a time, in a kingdom known as Auradon, lived a young prince. He was one of the most kind and caring princes the kingdom ever had. He cared about everyone, even the ones no one thought were actually worth caring for. One day, the month before his coronation, he made his first proclamation. He wanted to give the children of the villains his father had abandoned to the isle of the lost, an equal chance in Auradon. And so he invited four villain kids to Auradon Prep. Mal, daughter of Maleficent; Jay, son of Jafar; Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil; and Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen. Most people thought they would be just like their parents; evil, vicious and cruel. But Ben was convinced that even those who were raised to be villains had a good heart. And he wasn't wrong about that. It came with some struggles, but they found their place in Auradon too. After his coronation he decided that more kids had to come over, as the first four proved that they could live just like other Auradoniens in the kingdom, amongst the other citizens. He didn't really know them well personally, but only heard good stories about them and that was proof enough for him. It sounds like this was a happily ever after, but our story is only beginning now... *I do not own any of these characters*

Mal is finally used to life in Auradon as opposed to the isle of the lost, she and her friends are fitting in nicely, her boyfriend who also happens to be the King is the kindest person on the planet and they love each other more than words can express..... But when one day Mal finds herself in a strange place with people who all think she belongs there even though she knows she doesn't what can she do? She has to get back to Auradon, doesn't she? Mal begins to question everything, maybe she's dreaming, or maybe she's finally awake and everything else was a dream, who knows? But if she is to try and get back to the isle of the lost she knows one thing, she cannot do it alone, so before she can try anything she will have to convince a bunch of people who are sure that she's supposed to be there that she's not Can she make it back to Ben and the rest of her friends in Auradon or is she stuck in Stevens point forever or is Auradon, by some chance, just a wild dream? This book follows the life of Mal and Ben after the events on descendants 3, it also follows the life of their dear friends. Ben and Mal are madly in love and really excited to get married at the end of their senior year, but sometimes your happily ever after isn't as near as you think. They will have to fight a long lost evil who came back for revenge. Will they be strong enough to defeat it? Will their love be stronger than anything? I do not own any rights of these characters. Most fairytales start with Once upon a time... and well, this one too, although this might not seem like your typical fairytale... So, once upon a time there lived a young girl in a big kingdom. Well, she didn't actually live in the kingdom, but on an island by the kingdom. This island was more like a prison where all people were banned who were a threat to the kingdom. This girl isn't one of them, but she's the daughter of one of those people. She grew up imprisoned on that island with her friends, Jay, Caros and Evie and honestly, they didn't think it was too bad. But that could also be because they didn't know any better. They'd watch tv and see Auradon, the place where princes and princesses grew up, where heroes were living their best lives, where kids were happily playing in the sun, where people had proper education and had jobs that actually mattered. But for as far as Mal and her friends cared, life on the Isle was good enough for them and they were just going with it, until one day everything changed. They got invited to Auradon by soon to be king Benjamin. It was difficult to change into that lifestyle, but the four vk's hadn't even really come to Auradon to do that. They had been commissioned by their parents to find Fairy Godmother's wand and free the Isle of the Lost, so they could take over the kingdom. They had a plan to steal that wand during the coronation of prince Ben, but during the time in between arriving in Auradon and the coronation, Mal found herself falling in love with the prince. Not only did she fall in love with him, the four vk's fell in love with the kingdom and realized that living there wasn't such a bad idea. Maleficent on the other hand didn't let go that easily and tried to fight them, but together they defeated her and got her turned into a tiny green lizard. And so it all ended well, you'd say. But this was not the end of the story, no, there's much more to come...

- Sequel to Still by your side - a Descendants story (Bal) - With the first year in college starting, there's changing a lot in the lives of everyone. Mal and Ben are dealing with their new lives as full-time king and queen and on top of that raising their daughter. The others are facing the troubles with college life.
