"You know, you're actually kinda dumb," Jason said, trying to hide his smile. "EXCUSE ME. You're one to talk." I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him. "Yes, I am one to talk because I'M getting the extra credits tutoring YOU. Someone who hasn't even memorized her times-tables WHO'S IN JUNIOR YEAR." He burst out laughing and his dimples etched deep in his cheeks. "Ugh why are you so-" He cut me off. "Why am I so what, hm?" He replied, smirking. And then I realized how close his face was. There were only a few centimetres in between my nose and his. The words died on my lips and my mind went blank ******* Angeline Cass led a pretty typical life. Her life revolved around her life at school, time spent with her adventure-seeking best friend and her boyfriend, and living at home with her mom. But after a bad math test score, an unexpected meeting with a boy way out of her social league, and the return of an old childhood friend, life actually starts getting interesting, until things take a turn and everything starts to go downhill for Angeline. With the sudden turn of events, Angeline falls into the dark hole of depression and anxiety, and isn't sure if she can save herself from falling off the edge, but Jason, her assigned student tutor isn't turning out to be who Angeline thought he was, and he just might be able to help her fight her darkest parts and bring in some light. - While I don't consider this a 'Mature Read', there are some dark topics and swearing so I would recommend this for 13 and older, unless you're like a very mature 12-year-old.

"Kiss me." He orders, slamming my locker shut. "Is she coming?" I ask, turning my head to look behind me, but he grabs my face and makes me look up at him. "Yes, now kiss me." I do as told, getting on my tippy toes as I lean up to kiss him. He kisses me back slowly, before he pins me against the lockers and deepens the kiss. My eyes widen and I try to push him away. This isn't part of the deal. He pulls away, a full on smirk plastered on his face. "I lied." He confesses, turning around. "She wasn't coming." Then, he walks away.
