This is a prequel story to a trilogy I am working on, explaining the past events leading up to the start of the first book. This is for my own reference, so that I stay consistent with the backstory as I write. Anne Rickett had always wanted a sister, and when Carrie Walsh was put up for adoption the Rickett family jumped on the opportunity. Carrie and Anne, two distinct young girls, must navigate the world together, but will their differences eventually tear them apart? We follow the two elementary grade girls who struggle to maintain their friendship as everything moves around them.
