High school student George Davidson discovers his father's lab focusing on helping humanity has a human experiment living within it's walls. His life and relationships are all thrown around as he now finds himself protecting this innocent creation who he considers his friend.

The boy is looking back at him from across the cove. His eyes are dark, pupils narrow like a cat's. His ears are slightly pointed but mostly human in appearance and in his mouth, held between two rows of very, very sharp and white fangs, a fish. He watches Dream for a second more before ducking his head and diving into the darkness below. Before he disappears fully, a fanned tail surfaces and slaps the water.
